Depending on the strategic blueprint of “The Belt and The Road”, the superiorities of collection, distribution and transportation by railway are increasingly visible.

For imported and exported goods transported by railways in connection to seaborne transportation via sea ports, only one carrying mode defined as “One Declaration, One Inspection and One Permit” is required for the whole transportation procedures.

In general, the expenditure by sea-railway multimodal transportation, if in consideration of cost only, is around 30% lower than that by road-water multimodal transportation.
